File storage on nginx

On Apache, a bundled .htaccess file protects the private file storage. nginx doesn’t read this file, so add this rule to the server configuration:

location ^~ /wp-content/uploads/omniviu/ { deny all; }

The system status in the WordPress admin shows the exact rule for your installation.

Security plugins and hosts

For real-time collaboration, the app calls the file sync.php in the plugin folder directly. Some security plugins and hosts block direct calls to PHP files in plugin folders. Collaboration then doesn’t work.

In that case, add an exception for wp-content/plugins/omniviu/sync.php. The system status detects the problem and points it out.
