Export: PDF & archive

A page as a PDF

Open the page or entry and choose ⋮ → Export as PDF … at the top right (or Ctrl/Cmd + P). The title, properties and content are printed – without menus or sidebar, always in light mode. The file name is the page title.

In the browser’s print dialog, choose Save as PDF as the destination. Read access is enough.

Tip: Turn off the browser’s headers and footers in the print dialog so the date and address don’t appear in the PDF.

Several entries in one PDF

Open the view settings (slider icon) and choose Export entries as PDF …. The filters, search and order of the view apply. You choose which properties appear, whether the page content is included and whether each entry starts on a new page. Up to 200 entries are possible – handy for minutes, project briefs or applications.

A database as an archive

Open the database and choose ⋮ → Export as archive … at the top right. You get a ZIP file with everything that belongs to it: entries and sub-items, pages underneath, properties, views, content with comments, files, time tracking and sharing settings.

Only what you’re allowed to see is exported.

Importing an archive again

Click + next to the teamspace or open a page’s menu and choose Import … → omniviu ZIP. The database is recreated there, with its original dates and authors.

  • People are matched by email address. Anyone not found is kept as a name.
  • Relations to databases outside the archive are kept on the same website. If the archive comes from another website, they become text or links.
  • If an import is interrupted, simply select it again and it carries on.

What isn’t available

There is no Markdown or CSV export. For the whole website, the WordPress backup remains the right tool, see Backups & restore.
